Default EU issue

ok, i have been dealing with this for a long time and can't get rid of it. it almost always happens on a cold start. i get a trouble code on the eu saying i have "incorrect ignition input" on ch 3,4 and 5. the car is running perfect during this time with no misses. it is usually always these same cylinders but sometimes it will change it up and toss in ch6 too. i am worried for the fact it sets the eu into red light flashing mode and not sure if i am loosing timing or fuel corrections because of being in limp mode. i datalog that it is pulling timing, but want to get this figured out.

any ideas?

That is a random bug with the EU. I have seen it on a couple of cars, and its harmless. It does not effect the tune, or anything else. The engines still runs perfectly.

What firmware version are you using on the EU? I know 1.14 was just released, but I'm curious.

if i remember correctly, i called greddy to see what the 1.14 was, and it seemed it had nothing to do for the 350Z. can anyone confirm this. the only update i have done is the 1.06 i believe that sets it up for cas timing, that is the last one i have heard will do anything for the Z.

That's correct. However, its always best to run the latest version, as the updates will fix various glitches and bugs in the system, and improve the user experience.

1.09 added the ability to datalog your timing if you're using the crank angle sensor for RPM pickup. That's all I'm aware of......
