I tried searching but for some reason no results are coming up.
I like the GT25s I see on the JWT kit, but I was wondering what kit on the market spools quickest, and will still be capable of 400-450whp on pump gas. I will have this car as a daily driver and I want something torquey/punchy and quick to spool. I'm assuming is JWT, but I could be drastically wrong with all the options out there. PE, Greddy, APS, etc.
Thanks in Advance!

To tell you the truth they are ALL good set-ups that will spool fast. You will be able to achieve your HP goals and high with each of the TT Kits you mentioned also.
Just do a little more searching on the different kits and more research.
Every person that owns a specific kit on this forum is going to tell you to go with the kit they are running so it is worthless to ask because you only get their opinions. Look for the solid research, dynos, etc.
Just my .02 cents

I just wish you could build your own kit without so much hassle. I'd set up the kit as I wanted it so I could get the exact characteristics I want. Kinda stinks. Coming from the VW/Honda world, I'm used to being able to piece together a kit and set it up myself. I'm still leaning toward a PE or Greddy kit, however, if I HAVE to buy a kit.
Thanks for the info tho man.

see that would be the problem I think each companies manifold is specific to their turbo... Im not sure though.
You could contact Sharif at www.forgedinternals.com and he would be able to help you alot. He is like the turbo GOD on the forum.
you can also PM him on this site.

indeed, but you have to admit building your own custom kit would be so sweet. As long as you have the money.

If your on the west coast, I would contact VRT about the JWT kit... if your on the east coast, I would contact performance motorsports in NY. These are the only 2 places that I know of that have their hands on the JWT system.

I've contacted Sharif... However... people can be biased especially when they sell certain products. I'm not really saying Sharif is biased, however he likely has more experience with the kits he sells. I was looking for feedback from owners... preferably ones who wrench on thier cars themselves.

For whatever reason (maybe the price point) I still like Greddy's kit. But I just like the idea of a really torquey/punchy set-up.

I know you're coming from the VW world and with those small 4 bangers, spool up was important. Now that you have 3500cc's, you don't need to worry too much about spool up. No kit out there will give you a spool up "problem", they all have excellent spool up, even the single turbos.
Turbonetics manifold system is like a snake crawling around the engine and even that has been engineered nicely to have excellent spool up so no worries there either.
See you wednesday at the meet if I can make it.. I might bring the bimmer since I'm trying to sell the thing

Geez dude haha.
I should have the car up there this week. I only work til 4 on wed. I'm getting the car new oil and filter tomorrow and then it'll be going in for the fuel line recall, a new auto-dimming mirror and to find out if I need a new trans (3rd gear grinding issue common on 2003s) on the 18th. After that the car should be golden.
Another vote for the JWT TT, especially with a good exhaust. They produce tons of torque and spool up really quickly. My car dynoed 690wtq with the SVRTech 3" dual exhaust at 14psi!
