Why do you say that?? Performance motorsport ran their car into the low 10s on the stock 6-speed, driveshaft and rear end. All they did was run DSS axles. No one that I know of has broken the stock carbon fiber driveshaft on a 350Z.

interesting place to break a driveshaft considering there's no hard shifting and most dynos aren't load based. Was it on a load based dyno?

that sounds very weird...I would have to suspect that the driveshaft was damaged in some other way before it broke on the dyno. There are guys making A LOT more power than that and shocking the $hit out of the driveshaft with no issues at all.

Jeff ( 350NOW ) lost a shaft due to an rubbing of an aftermarket - JDM exaust
kit that got pushed into the driveline after his brother ran over something.

If the outer shell is scored or damaged in a small way it will come apart.
The manual say's during R/R if the driveline falls in the shop it should be replaced.

Cheers Amy -

Sorry...meant to say axels instead of driveshaft. Sometimes I get my axels mixed up with my driveshafts

I'm guessing that you're not anywhere near 600-700whp, and/or they used either 1/2 head studs or L19 7/16 studs and added additional clamping force.

Question, are you really running Meth and 100 octane fuel?
