Default AAM return fuel system - Help

Hey guys. I bought this system from Sharif when he did a group buy a long time back when AAM initially released the system. I never installed it because I was waiting to build the engine.

Well, I'm getting ready to install the system now because I just got a built long block. If I remember right, the initial fuel return system had a line that was not good for being submerged in fuel, so AAM sent everyone a replacement hose for the bad one? This sound familiar to those that picked up the system in the group buy a long time ago?

I got the replacement hose. The original hose I'm referring to is about 6-8 inches long. The original hose was your typical looking black rubber and came with the fittings at the ends. I have another hose that is the same length that I believe is the replacement hose that AAM sent out. It is blue (not rubber on the outside) but rubber on the inside. It has a casing around a typical black rubber hose. The casing may be to allow it to be submerged in fuel. Is this the hose I want to use (take the fittings off the old/plain black hose and put them on this blue one? Thanks in advance.

Hi Yancey,

I replied to your email. Our system did not have a problem with submerged fuel. We did send out a free Upgrade Kit that modified the Siphon System. Contact me back through email and I will make sure you get one.

Thanks

Yancy, awesome...that fuel system is vintage. One of the first ones FI.com ever sold! It must have some kind of intrinsic value, at this point. Glad you are all taken care of.
