Do I see divorced wastegate dumps on that turbine outlet? THATS the way to do downpipes with internal wastegates

hence why i picked the kit for my personal 350. Jim has done out-standing R and D, and with first impressions it made to us here at AAM, it has definately paid off.

i don't disagree. I've spoken with Jim in person several times about this kit. I find his ideas and implementation of the fuel system VERY unique. While I think the kit makes the engine bay look too busy with the pipe routing theres no doubt about its performance and Jim's knowledge on turbo systems.

Now that is something I don't like. I haven't said anything for a while now since everyone seems to be tapping oil pan spacers with some success but from a engineering standpoint I still don't see how it works. The oil return is directly into the oil in the pan. In a gravity feed the preferred method is to always dump the oil from the turbos ABOVE the oil level. I know it works and has worked for several people. I just still scratch my head as to how more people aren't experiencing backed up oil in the bearing cartridge.. oh well just another mystery of life I guess.

Yes...there is quite a bit of piping routed in the engine bay...but I really apprecite the attention to important everyday factors...

the ability to not have to relocate the washer-fluid and coolant sealed teh deal for me.

not to mention the torque!!!

the actual amount of oil going to the turbo is minute, and the large size of the return allows for almost all of it to drain back through without backing up at all.

Except for one lucky winner I talked to via phone this weekend who has lost two turbo seals to that exact setup. I had him change the return to the upper pan and it dropped the smoke coming from his exhaust DRASTICALLY. Now I just need to get him ANOTHER new turbo...

APS and Greddy both advocate the lower oil pan return. Maybe its just a coincidence that he lost a turbo seal. There have been leaky turbos from pretty much every manufacturer out there, from time to time....right out of the box.

So far, it hasnt been an issue for us.

Thats understood but at least on the APS pan there is not oil already in the location the dump is trying to feed the used oil too. Its free falling into empty sapce.

Not necessarily. The lower oil pan is almost always full to the brim, if not always full.

Interesting...even though the APS oil pan and PE for that matter add quite a bit of volume at the ends and have the oil dumps going there?

Very nice. Intercooler is one piece, earlier pics that floated around showed two, if I am not mistaken. How is the tube from the intercooler to the engine intake routed into the engine compartment?

The G kit uses two intercoolers...the outlet of the intercooler feeds in the middle of the car...See the second pic from the bottom in the first post..
