Could be the valve cover seal. Its happened to others before. The seal for the spark plug bucket went bad and leaked oil into the spark plug. You may be ok just by changing that seal...

hehe...me too. Usually, if the valve cover seal is bad, there will be oil on the top of the plug, or near the threads. In his case, one of his plugs was really nasty/oily/black on the electrode side. I've seen this before...not a good sign.

Now where are those comp test numbers?

i am a little confused cylinders 1,3,5 (178;182;186) respectively but i haven't done 2,4,6 the intake pipe is in the way should i put every thing back (intake piping on that side or can I leave every thing disconnected? what I mean by that is do I have to connect the piping all together or can i leave the intake pipe off and still get accurate numbers?

Leave the pipes off. You dont need anything connected when doing the compression test.

Well, the passenger side of your engine is fine. Now the oily side is next...best of luck.

^^lol, well here are the final results:
cylinder#1:178
cylinder#2:188
cylinder#3:182
cylinder#4:174
cylinder#5:186
cylinder#6:176

Well now that is out of the way i feel much better, but now I am wondering what is going on i tried getting the gasket that would go around the spark plug buckets but according to my local nissan stealership this car doesn't have any it just uses the valve cover gasket, so I will be changing that out this weekend. Since now we now that my engine is fine I am still wondering why I am running so rich. Even though my engine is fine I am going to continue with building my engine its a horrible feeling when you believe you have a blown or bad engine.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Curious to see what fuel pressure you are running. Maybe one of the injectors is sticking open a bit. Some more things to check.

whew....wow......lucky devil. The comp numbers look good. Do you have an injector you can swap into cylinder number 6?

That, plus new spark plugs will hopefully get you on your way. If it doesnt, then its time for a leak down test. There are situations where compression numbers can be good, but leakdown really badly.

Well guys I think I may have found the culprit to why I am running so rich, underneath the car the wiring for the O2 sensor that goes where the passanger side cat should be is melted thru, the wires are just hanging so I will put it pack together and see if that resolves anything.

True, But he also said he checked that...And was sure it was not the issue, whenever a customer brings a car to me with a complaint, and their opinion of what is wrong with it , I always double check for myself from the basics..Most of the time it is something basic, but people tend to jump the gun and guess the worst, which may or may not be the case.

I am not going to argue with you. He didnt check the plug, prior to your post. Read it again.

Internet based diagnosis is anything one big crap shoot....you win some and you loose some. Of course, if the car was in front of us, we could figure it out pretty quickly too.
