Default Help with HKS DLI!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried two different HKS DLI's and the car will not start, but as soon as I take it off the car starts. The car will crank but not turn over, the light to the unit shows power. We have checked all the coil-packs, grounds, and fuses.

I am running the e-manage ultimate, could this have anything to do with it?

Please help!!!!!!!!

Thats weird I have a UTEC and it works fine. If your getting the light to come on the ground is likely good. Are you making sure the wires arent mixed up tp where they need to be? Are you sure you've fully clippped in all the ends? Where did you mount your DLI-II box and what way did you run the wiring loom-behind th eplenum or across the front with the stock harness?

You cant really *** up the install unless like I said he screwed up the connectors, meaning he didnt put the short loom to front 2 cylinders, its self explanitory.

Didn't one member say they had to isolate the unit from the chassis to get the VQ to start up? Put plastic / rubber washers between the unit to make it stand off from your mounting location....

Something to try..

have you tried disconnecting the emanage ultimate and starting it with the HKS? I'm not sure what injectors you're using or if the car would even start normally without the EU anyway, but just an idea

guess i'm wondering if the EU works fine without the HKS and the HKS works fine without the EU, but them together don't

I got your message, and I will call you tomorrow. I have tried every thing that I can think of. We grounded the unit to 3 different spots including the battery itself, and have checked and rechecked all the connection. I have run the wires in front of the plenum and behind the plenum; we have mounted the unit as it shows in the instructions, and tried setting it on a few different surfaces.

I think it might have something to do with the original ECU, or the E-Manage. The original ECU still has the turbonetis reflash, and I think that with the E-Manage the signal to fire the car is too weak.

The whole reason that I am putting the unit on the car is that it will not make power over 5000 RPM. When I get to 5000 RPMs under heavy load the car starts to stutter, and you can smell gas, the car will also do this when I down shift on the highway. I think that at 5000 RPMs I am just blowing out the spark on the plugs, so this is why I am trying to use this unit.

The setup that I have is
ECU with the turbonetics reflash
E-Manage Ultimate
Blitz SBC boost controller
750cc injectors
AAM fuel return system
Built motor
8.5.1 pistons
JIC full 3 inch single exhaust

I am running 15 pounds of boost, and on the dyno the boost holds through the rpms, and I have an A/F of 11.2.

Sorry for the long post, just thought that I would give a little more info.

did it ever get working?

Mine isn't working either - same exact thing

it appears the emanage ultimate and HKS unit don't like each other
