Lightbulb My vortech SC setup

Here, tell me what you guys think of what i'm doing...opinions, suggestions, whatever. I'm having all this stuff put on June 3rd by Chad (aka Protocav). Any modifications to this list?? (and dont say return the vortech and get ST, cuz thats not an option). Please provide useful input (what to change, what you like, what you think outcomes will be). Thank you.

1. vortech supercharger (full kit)
2. NGK PLFR6A-11 spark plugs
3. boost, fuel pressure, and egt gauges with control link (Defi BF Imperials)
4. AAM Spec Fuel Pressure Gauge Adapter (so dont have to cut fuel lines)
5. APS 2.5" exhaust
6. either the ultimate racing high flow cats or the crawfords
7. 3.12 pulley
8. Motordyne 5/16 copper iso thermal plenum spacer
9. Autosport ECU wiring harness

Think thats about it...

you have an A/F gauge right?

that's probably your most important gauge. The EGT is by far your least useful gauge so I'd ditch that one if you only have room for 3 gauges. Oil temp is high on the list too

why do you need the autosport ECU harness if you're running the vortech full kit?

I bought the autosport harness because i was told you have to splice into the factory ECU. Looked like it in the manual. Is this incorrect?

Yes..good idea to get the harness . Wish it had been out when I got my SC . Get a A/F gauge....much more important than any other gauge . And if you can stand a loud car...go with no cats

Booger didn't have bad luck with the Crawford cats?

Looks like Jeff is in Cali so the cats will have to stay. I'm running Kinetix HF cats here...

Agreed about the EGT as that is not a big concern with a supercharger setup. Turbo's create immense heat off the exhaust since the turbocharger is connected directly to it...

The Crawford cat worked fine . If I had to run cats . I would buy another set of RT's , they flow much better than the Crawfords or anything out there [ that Ive heard about anyway ] But the RT's may not last long though

I assume that when you guys say a/f gauge you really mean wideband.

No injectors, around 400whp would be nice. We'll see later though.
