Default Need opinions on Kinetix or Crawford cats for vortech

I see kinetix newest generation of hfc for 369 and 1 dollar shipping.
I also see some used crawford in the classifieds for 350 and some shipping.
So for basically the same price which one should i get?

I had Kinetix cats when I was NA and the quality of them sucked. They sounded allright, but the welds were disgusting. They ended up snapping in half within a few months. I have heard nothing but good things about Crawford's quality standards.

The Kinetix ones are great. Quality is top notch. The issues they had in the beginning have been solved to my knowledge.

I will never buy another kinetix product. I never dealt with thier cats, but thier camber and toe arms were of below avergae quality and thier customer service was literally ZERO!

Stick with a stand up company: Crawford

That's the same conclusion I've come to, as well. Kinetix doesn't R&D products but instead sells them and lets the customers test them before releasing revisions after many failures (the original plenum is already on its 5th revision). The SSV is nothing more than a polished ss tube they buy directly from a supplier with some runners welded on at a 90 degree angle, which is marketed by overinflated dyno numbers which are an outright lie. As far as the rest of their products, I've heard nothing but complaints as far as quality is concerned. I had some kinetix products on my car in the past, and I'll just say that I'm glad I no longer do.

Crawford, on the other hand, has the reputation of making some of the highest quality NA mods on the market. You do tend to pay a little more for them, however.

21,000 [Vortech] miles on these Kinetix cats and no issues whatsoever ...

I want to say that booger had the Crawford HF cats and showed them being quite restrictive but I'll let him chime in...

I think you could consider any cats as "quite restrictive" on a boosted motor.
