Default Engine Management Map Sharing Sticky

With allot more people now having user definable engine management systems I was wondering if people would use a sticky thread to post their cars setup details and their current engine management map they are using. That way we have a shared database of maps we can all use and develop as a group.

We would need to configure a template for people so they know what details they need to leave about their car so we can share the maps easily. Something like the below but that can be ironed out if we find people would actually use it.

e.g.:

Car/Engine: 350z - VQ35
Forced Induction: APS TT
Compression: 9:1
Cams: JWT S1
Intake: Plenum Spacer
Exhaust: 3.5" Dumps, 3" True Dual
Injectors: 500cc
Fuel Pressure: XX
Etc
Engine Management: UTEC

I have no problem sharing maps with people.. as long as i take no responsibility if that map blows your engine.. if you guys want to play russian roulette with your engines.. by all means

that isn't that much of a risk. utec has knock control and those maps should always be used as a base map or starting point for the tune, NOT to be run as they are.

I think appropriate warnings should be placed in the thread. Its the same with any changes you as a non-expert make to your tune.

Its up to the individual how they want to use the maps but you would normally only use other peoples maps as a starting point, then fine tune from there.

I will post mine when my motor is finished and tuned.

Admins / Moderators,

Can we consider this idea and see if we can get the ball rolling?

We can load the stock base maps from the vendors as a starting point and let other load their maps if they want to?
