Any point in getting the UTEC?

I'm surprised there havn't been more blown motors with that setup. Seems like you are a lot of 'ifs' in the system, between the aux fuel pump (and loose fititngs) and a mechanical regulator.
Regardless, its still hands down better then the solution provided with the Procharger.

As far as the exact routing of the fuel lines with the Vortech . I believe there is a T off the main line going to the Aux. pump , from there . Im not sure if it T's back into the mian line , then to the FMU , then to the fuel rail . Been a while since Ive had it on
The only thing I remember about the Procharger 'fmu' was it had a bunch of slide switches on it. I don't think it had an extra pump. I never installed any of the supplied stuff with the Procharger, instead went with a return fuel system, bigger injectors, and a TS reflash,
1000 miles later and two broken piston rings it was time to rebuild!
