Just to let everyone know this is Dave Shiroma the former GM at Altered. I quit Altered about two months ago. Although it was a combination of things that lead to me leaving the key component was how Toby's blown motor was handled. I'm a really proud person and dedicated to customer service (I guess its the half Japanese in me ) When this happend I felt we should have swapped Toby's motor regardless of wether it was Altereds fault or not. I mean Toby is and was an awesome customer! After this all happened I was so dissappointed in the owners of Altered that I could no longer "pretend" that I was going to make it work. I tried for two years guys and many of you know the lengths and efforts I went to to do what is right for the customer.

I really do wish Altered the best. It sucks after putting two years of 110% effort in that this is now the state of affairs.

On a similiar note I am in the process of opening my own shop. This way I can provide the customer service and level of quality work that I feel is nessecary. One of he first lines of my business plans states:

"Complete and Total Devotion to Customer Satisfaction"

I hope that gives some insight to where my attitude is at.

Well I have nothing but good things to say about Noah and AAM. I probably call and bug him every 2-3 days, sometimes just to bs. I am in TX and he has helped me out more than anyone else i can think of in the past from any shop. I have spent around $12k there in the past 2 months, he has been nothing but helpful, something wrong, or we messed up something he sends me another one free of charge. I am not calling you liars at all, but I guess everyone has their own experiences. I will back up Noah any day of the week, and that is why I only deal with him when getting stuff, I don't even get prices from other people anymore I just call him up tell him what I i need and he gets it to me within 2-3 days. I bet for the two customers that have had problems there are hundreds that haven't so lets just say worst case scenario they have a customer satisfaction of what 98%? That isn't to bad, I don't know the whole situation with Toby's car so I am not going to comment on it. But as far as my dealings I would do anything for Noah even help him out on a personal level if he ever needed, not sexually for all the people that will look to deep, but to help him get something started on his own I would definetly help him out, he is one of the most knowledgeable people I have met. If he couldn't answer a question or I needed something he gave me a name and phone number of who I needed to talk to, if he didn't call them himself and find it out for me. And I think AAM is a sponsor and allowed on this site for the quality of products that they make and sell.

I cant vouch for their work or service really, but everyone knows that the majority of those who speak up about a shop are those who have had problems. You hardly ever hear about the good things about a shop, its just the bad!

Granted my abilities are limited but I have gone as far as answering questions after hours on my own personal phone.
My questions were never anwsered.....and I pm'ed you directly on this site as well as 2 emails to sales and service email addresses from AAM's web site. At a meet, I talked to an AAM employee and he said he hears of this problem a lot. I've talked to a number of other people at some local meets, all have said the same thing, unless we are in the shop with cash in hand, it just doesn't seem like you guys want to be involved. I hope you understand, I'm not bashing, just making you aware, people have been talking poorly about AAM for the past few months and the complaints are being heard by everyone in the Z community. You shouldn't worry about the past, you can never correct it, you can change how you handle future business or there may not be much to correct. Just something for AAM to think about. I will not be buying anything from AAM, I have a plenum spacer I bought used.....from a guy that ended up suing AAM for screwing up his car. I've talked to previous employees as well and have heard other horror stories. Like I said, you guys shouldn't be worried about defending previous issues, you should be working on making your future business better and correcting obvious poor business practices as precived by potential customers. You are in a sales and service business, preception is everything.

I agree! I have nothing but good things to say about Mike, Noah, Jay and the entire AAM team. They were professional, cordial, accessible and very knowledgeable. I trust them with my ride completely. I drove 9 hours to have them work on my TT. Work was done quickly, professionally - no issues - car runs GREAT!! I was able to drop by and watch all installs as well as dyno tuning. GREAT SHOP!! Looking forward to going back again next summer for more upgrades!

This is exactly my point, you said you spent $12K in the past few months and you get return calls, I couldn't even get an email answered because I haven't.
