nope the box is locked, and about the only thing for the ecu ia a reflash.but the only thing youll get out of that is a upped rev limiter.i spoke to mike at aam a while ago about getting more power,he said replace the fmu,get rid of the 7th injector and install larger injectors.a utech with tuning, fuel return system and something else i forgot.he wanted about $3500 and i said nope not for a measley 40rwhp.

You can still re-flash the ECU but it is not worth it. I spoke to Technosquare and the only thing they can really do is up the rev-limiter. The SS box with the Stillen is already running aggressive timing. The best idea is to ditch the SS box and get a Unichip or Utec along with new injectors so you can tune it yourself.

Ok, I understand that their is no upgrade for the stillen ECU. However, if I upgrade the factory ECO with the AAM software and use the Stillen ECU for the Stage 2, would this affect the performance of the Stillen ECU. I know you cannot upgrade the Stillen ECU, but what I want to know if you upgrade the factory ECU with the AAM upgrade will this affect the Stillen ECU.

Stillen uses a split second box for the 7th injector and some timing control. If you alter the factory ECU program it may or may not alter the timing and fuel alterations the split second does.

Taking the Stillen kit out of it's tune should be done right. If you're going to alter the maps do it right.

the ss box intercepts the cam and crank sensors signals before the factory ecu sees them.so anything you would do to the factory program would be useless except upping the rev limiter.

Who's 5.6 psi SC was it? You said that it was having boost issues. I am having the same issues. Can you PM me a name or contact so that I can find out if they were able to fix it? Thanks Alberto.

You still having boost issues w/ your Stage 2? I started w/ a Stillen Stage 2 and upgraded to Stage 4 about 6 mos. ago. I was not making full boost with my Stage 2 at first (not completely surprising given the altitude here in Colorado) but eventually got this sorted out. Feel free to send me a PM.

If you are thinking about an upgrade to the ECU just get rid of the SS box get something that you can tune like a Unichip. It won't give you big gains but being able to tune the kit to your car will help out.

Does anyone else sell the Stage 4 besides Stillen. I do not see it advertised on thier website, just wondering where did you guys purchase yours and the cost. I have not even driven my Stage 2 and I am asking questions about the Stage 4. Talk about undecisive. Any help would be appreciated.

You can get them from Stillen and Performance Nissan via Stillen. The price is about the same. Or you can try to find a used kit from someone selling their SC and willing to split the kit.

The Stage 4 is a big jump from Stage 2. You are adding 2-2.5psi of boost so be ready for more potential problems but even more fun.

Yes I know I w ill have problems which is probably why I will sendmy car to Stillen to have it installed. Not too many FI techs here in my area. Most work on hondas, crxs, and other cars.

Was there a need to upgrade your internals? I am adding an oil cooler next week, do any of you have one installed?

i wouldnt send it to stillen, the ss box is a direct replacement just rewire same color wires.the fuel pump is a easy job,the pulley wasnt hard, the hardest part was getting the longer screws started for the bigger 7th injector.any competent mechanic can do this.

Yes you are probably right. That is good to hear though. I guess it better to go from 2 to 4 rather than waste time with stage 3. I will see. Time is just going so slow. My wife has taken my car to shop about ten times for me adding parts. I know she is going crazy and think I am to. Thanks for the info

There is not a need to upgrade your internals. It is always a good idea but there are many of us with stage 4 on stock internals without any problems.

An oil cooler is a great thing to have, I have the JWT oil pan spacer that adds an extra quart which helps but not as much as a cooler. I also have the coolingmist water/meth injection kit which is set to come on ~5psi of boost to help stop deonation since I live in Phoenix and it gets very hot here.

There was one guy that had the EU on his car. It had a custom pulley and some other stuff but I have not seen him around in a long time.

Stage 4 should get you ~340-350whp on a 6mt with instant power and torque. My car pulls like a monster from the moment you hit the gas. I have not dyno'd it yet. I am thinking about going with the unichip and a smaller pulley since my hf cats made me loose almost 1psi.
