Well as some may know I just installed my Greddy TT kit and I heard they blow on stock boost just driving around the block.(yea right?) well anyways I bought cipher(which is nuts! It has so much things you can log) to log my timing. Last night around 12:30 (no one on the road I went out to do some logging) just 3rd gear pulls to 6500rpm. 1st pull I had almost 25 degrees of timing( isnt that alot?) same with the 2nd. Anyways I had my radar with me for any cops who might be out and on the 3rd pull guess what. I get pulled over for 97( which isnt even possible in 3rd) in a 45. Once pulled over and the officer pulls me out of the car at gun point!!!!! tells me to get out of my car and put my hands on the trunk and spread my legs (I'm think wow what do you want me to do drop my paints and spead my cheack too?) he then tells my friend to get out of the car sit indian style on the groung with his hands crossed on his head. he then pulls me to the ground and hand cuffs me and walks around to my car. then he is like your underarrest. Im like thanks I see that. He says I was goin 97 in 45 he called for back up and like 3 other cops came. those guys were cool my friend says and one even has a supercharged maxima running 12.4s ,but anyways the older cop then asked why I was goin that fast? I was like "umm I'm logging the timing on my car sir" and that sorry for the excessive speed. He then said he is takeing me to jail but when my mom comes he doesnt and then writes me a ticket for speeding and no insurance he then takes my licence and give me another for suspended License(which I didnt know about) so all in all Logging sucks!!!!!!!!!


o yea and what is the proper timing i should be running? It was around 80 degrees out when i was logging?

The cop then starts talking to me about how I could have died if I lost control and if somthing came out in the road and I braked for it how I would loose control over my car. I was about to say man I have been to a couple of driving schooles and know how to handle my car ( but that would be dick of me and probably land me in more trouble.

also the cop didnt read me my rights or anything and started asking me questions isnt that illegal?

Wish this thread was actually more about the subject of the Cipher rather than an illegally speeding on the street with no insurance rant about the po po.

 

And i had insurance he had me arrested in his car and i told him where it was and he said he couldnt find it

it sorta is and i asked about my timeing too

 

if you don't have insurance in FL, your license will get suspended. it's a pretty simple thing......if the policy was lapsed or cancelled, that's no insurance.
if you did in fact have an active policy, you can fight that ticket in court.

What you data logged was the stock ECU timing, the Cypher doesn't read piggyback altered timing.
