Question Best cam app. for TT???

greddy TT is gettin put on, with an assortment of other little goodies, but the only thing that i have not decided on fully yet, is my cam set up, im looking to make about 450-600whp, so just wondering what kinda cams would be best, and how aggressive i would have to go I.E. stage 3??? i was looking at the nismo R tune cams, or the JWT S1 cams, does anyone have them installed??? if so how do u like em???

scotts custom turbo cams. Big lift, medium duration. I havn't seen a dyno w/ scotts custom turbo cams that i havn't liked.

SGP has been successful with Tomei cams and I plan to run those on my car in the future.

You could also wait for the Cosworth FI-dedicated cams...

DURATION LIFT

The JWT are 256 and 10.9

IMO overlap is bad for FI ...

That is basically the duration and lift:

256 Duration 10.22mm lift

264 Duration 10.22mm lift

268 Duration 10.5mm lift

The longer the Duration the longer the valves are open and of course the higher lift opens the valve more. If you have the stock greddy TD05-18G turbos and want 600 Rwhp I would recommend either the Tomei 264/10.22mm cams or the JWT S1 cams.

Jim Wolf's S2 Cams. Designed for turbos.

Bump for anwser if JWT S-2 Cams would be better to run than S-1 Cams with a Vortech.

I would wait for the cosworth cams to come out and see how those work. Cosworth seems to be more concerned about releasing an awesome part that is well engineered then getting the first set of "FI" specific parts out. I think that they would be worth looking into unless the cams are a need right now.

Since I don't see any JWT S2 cams for a 350z around, not even on JWTs own website I think it's very hard to say anything about them...

The only true turbo cam being sold to the public is the scotts performance cams. they have minimal overlap unlike most n/a cams out there. i know they arent as sexy as tomeis or have as much name recognition as the jim wolf's but they are the best cam out there for f/i cars right now. my car idles fine without bumping it up to 1000rpms, they go in with no modifications to your driveline and they make good power. you choose.
