opinions on bored out 3.8 liter darton sleeved blocks?
For the people who actually have built up their short block with bored out 3.8 liter darton sleeves, how is the engine?
Does it really feel 8% stronger at any rpm?
Does it rev up slower or about the same?
what have your experiences been so far?

Im not sure when, but my car will be a different animal by the time most of you see it, right now its getting the body panels put on, the new Stoptech 6pot 4pot should be in soon, and im tentative to drop my car off July 22nd or so tile Aug 2X for the engine job. We'll see tho. Some stuff came up.

the cooling is improved over stock? I thought if anything it'd be slightly worse because the coolant is restricted to the small holes instead of the entire cylinder?
I thought one of the downsides was there isn't much room for boring out the cylinder walls all that much more in case you needed to.

on my standard block motor, temps would routinely exceed 205-210degrees on the dyno...while the darton sleeved setup never stepped up past 195!!!

Iam the second person to order this package so far. I ll let you know when it gets put together.. should be here within the next 2 weeks.

my question with a stroker kit has always been, if the vq is already pumping about 82 hp per liter at 3.5 and making 287, then with 4.15 would it make 340 at the crank?

My Darton sleeved block does appear to make more power, but its hard to say, since I changed the heads and made other modifications.
Having the 3.8L, my personal opinion, and nothing more, is that I would rather stay at 3.5L with the Darton's. 3.8L leaves precious little headgasket seating surface, and I'd feel more comforting running more boost, on a 3.5L Darton block, rather than a 3.8L darton block.
