The AAM MaxFlow pump assembly has an external surge tank which is great for cars that may be subject to starvation in hard cornering.

However, your stock fuel pump assembly has one as well, and I dont know of anyone who has had problems with fuel starvation using the factory surge tank.

With proper hoses, you could use the AAM MaxFlow pump with a CJM system. The APS Extreme system uses factory style surge tank, and isnt going to contain fuel in turns any better then the stock unit.

was more just a curiosity thing at this point. I've heard about a few people reporting fuel starvation when making hard right hand turns that sustain high G loads for more than a few seconds when the gas is low

 

well, thats pretty much the scenario with any car with a fuel tank versus a fuel cell! never race on a low tank, take it from the FD Rx7 guys

An external sealed surge tank like AAMs gives the fuel very little way to get away from the pump pickup. Its common to go that route on full on race cars, but many many street cars gone race car have the same style setup we have in the 350z.
