Project going broke....
Congrats on taking the plunge...
If there's one thing I can say about getting a strong FI system - IT'S EXPENSIVE!!!
I'm ballpark $30k (parts/install/tuning) at this point with everything I've done to my car. But I've done a lot of supporting mods as well (BBK, suspension, drivetrain, etc.). One thing you'll have to come to terms with is just how much power you're looking for in the long run. The only thing I HAVEN'T DONE so far is build the motor. I'm at 470rwhp on the stock block and haven't had any issues for 5000+ miles. But, that's just my luck at this point...
In any case, take it easy and enjoy the build up process. It's amazing to witness how much your car changes as it goes through each stage of modding. Even something simple like upgrading your injectors can make a world of difference.
As always, just my $.02

I was going with a bbk but was told not to because I drag race and everyone said it'll just hurt, so I'm getting a basic pad and stell line upgrade.
I also hopefully get the rollbar done in the next few weeks

I will get the original Long Block spec'ed withouth the ferraro valves at $9660
from Builtzmotors
I will keep my jwt clutch until it gives up then get the ATS
I just ordered the APS Extreme Fuel System from GRD
I just pmed Sharif about the Forge Actuators
I will keep the Unichip for now and then upgrade either to the EMS or Fcon later on.
This brings my price to about $14k in parts
Now it's time to negotiate with Brainstorm and/or GTM about install and tuning prices...
I am shaking right now...this was a big decission
Thank you all for helping me make this decission!

I must have been off in la-la land when we have exchanged so many emails, as it didn't click that you are IN california (I could have seen it in your sig, i guess i'm blind
Anyway, it is in your BEST interest to go with GT Motorsports for EVERYTHING...they will handle building the motor for you..that's right, I am cutting myself out of the equation, because this will make more sense for you (never thought I'd turn down a sale, but it is the right thing to do
)Talk to Sam, you are in GREAT hands for the entire project, I'll be happy to answer any more questions for you, anytime...

avoid (AT ALL COSTS) attempting to add it up before diving in.
you need to just start buying all the parts without paying any regard to what you are doing and do not tell any of your family. try and get most of it on the way within a 1 week period before any credit card bills show up.
adding it up before-hand will definatly eliminate your chances of following thru with the project. especially if you share the results with any family members.
if you end up in financial stress afterwords, you can do what 50% of people do when they finish an extremely expensive project - sell the car for 40% of what you have invested in it... and your out. no problem.

Eliminating the Ferrara valves is still a littly worrysome for me.
but in the end I figured I can do head upgrades later on so the main focus was on the shortblock and for the 600whp level that I'm looking at right now I believe it'll be just fine....he says praying
I spoke to Sam at GT Motorsports last night and we worked out a good deal.
As soon as the APS Extreme Fuel System arrives I'll drop of my car and they do the work
I can't wait!

. We need something different between our carsWell the Roll Bar Shop RedZone Fabrication fell through.
They want $2000 plus parts to do a roll bar....Unbefreakinleavable. These things are around $300 on professional race cars why are these people overcharging on something so basic?
