I too had mine replaced after I installed my kit. I was nervous about it and they did bring up the fact that I had a turbo. But my rebuttal was that horsepower doesn't kill syncros and they were really cool about it after that.

I was having the same problems with my tranny before my motor blew. Back then, I'd talked to a dealer and found out they've repaired several transmissions with the same symptoms and parts. They said that it's probably just the syncros and shift fork that would need to be replaced not the whole transmission. He quoted me prices on just those parts at approx. $105 for the syncros and $103 for both 1-2 & 3-4 shift forks. The shift forks are to repair/resolve the shifter popping or trying to pop out of gear. Obviously a lot less than $1800 for the whole new transmission. If you can't get your dealer to cover it, then this might be a less expensive solution.

This might be the route I'll take since I probably won't get my dealer to warranty the problem, I'm nervous about them doing work around my TT kit and I'll be getting a new clutch at the same timie. Hope this helps.
