We cut out yet will be at CalSpeedway 7-21-06 to go Ferrari hunting!

There is suppose to be a Carrera GT coming from the Porsche Club and I hope that is the case. Need that pass for the collection in my G. Carrera GTs are one of the sickest cars ever made.

Calspeedway on 7-21-06 and you got the Co-Pilot seat in my G. Sure a Modena will be ready to roll and We will have our Modded Z ready to go whether it is built for USED or NOT.

18" x 9.5" Nismo LMGT4 +30 offset all around.
Michellin Pilot Sport Cup Tires - 285/30/18 F, 315/30/18 R with no rubbing at all, no rolled fenders.

Although 315 is a little bit of a stretch for a 9.5" rim, the short stiff sidewall makes up for the stretch. If possible, a 305/30/18 is an ideal size for that wheel. The Nitto's on Ed's car are the only wheels I have found that have an 18" x 10.5" +30, but they also don't make an 18" x 9.5" +30 for the front, only +27. An ideal wheel / tire setup would be...

18" x 9.5" +30 Front with 285/30/18 tire
18" x 10.5" +30 Rear with 315/30/18 tire.
Good points Mike. The Nitto is a "wide" 315. The Hoosier 305 works real well in back too, with a 285 in front. But I run the Nitto because it is not only grippy, but it lasts a lot longer than the Hoosier. The Toyo RA-1 is a good tire, and of course the Michelin Sport Cups (but expensive) also. I have not run the Pirelli on my car, so cannot opine thereon, just relay that others have advised the Nitto and the Pirelli Corsa are similar in feel. I think if you run NA you don't need those big feet in back on this car, but when you go FI there is so much torque, especially when at high speeds compared to NA, that you really want the hook up grip back there when you get on throttle hard in third and even fourth gear. I have only been WOT in fifth and sixth gears at Cal Speedway in the Roval configuration, and that is down the front straight with the upshift from fourth on the straight section so I haven't had any squiggle there. I suspect that Mike's 700 BB might be able to light em up there, but the 530 BB does not.

Sadly, Hoosier had discontinued the 305/30/18 size and has replaced it with a 315/30/18, which is great for those with a 10.5" rim, but less attractive for us with 9.5" wheels. Although, I suspect that the Hoosier R3S06 has a plenty stiff sidewall like the Sport Cups.

I also agree with you on the fact that non-FI cars souldn't run these wide of tires. I would go no bigger than 275 all around if N/A and maybe 285 all around if highly modded N/A.

I was not aware that they were not making the 305 anymore. I have a almost new set, with one track session on them. I put them on my 9.5 inch wide rims. Let me know if you want them and I can let you have them discounted to fair price for use. I have two sets of the NT-01's now so it is not a problem. One set has one more run in it. The other has only one run on them, so I am good for rubber for a little while at least.

Thanks for the offer Ed, but I will be fine with the 315s. I don't even have wheels to mount them too yet and I won't be spending a dime for the next month at least because I am in the process of qualifying for my new house.

A house rather than shoes for your car? The summer heat in Vegas is getting to your brain young man. Your sense of priorities is clearly upside down!!!

If you want a deal on the Enkei's, let me know. I also have a set of Volk Gram Lights that I can let go, 18" in 9.5 rim width (all four). They have some scratches from the center bar on the trailer rack on the hub center, but that is only cosmetic. Otherwise fine condition and powder coated. That is what the Hoosiers are mounted on. I will make you a smokin deal if the next time we run at Spring Mountain I can crash in your guest bedroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Red Rock Resort was nice, but pretty pricey last time.

Its a deal Ed! And next time, I will have a much nicer guest bedroom for you to stay in. It's no Red Rock Hotel, but it will do . For some reason, I think that those Volks didn't fit on a Z last we tried. I will keep that in mind though Ed. Thanks.

Don't make me fight Ed for the guest room. .... The Gram lights in question will fit fine with a 5 mil. spacer...... IMO, the 305/30/18 rear and the 285/30/18 fronts are the perfect front to rear stagger for these cars (track or street) especially on 18x9.5" fronts and 18x10.5" rears.... ...Remember, you don't want to creat understeer by making the width gap between the front and the rear too big of a split.

Ed, I would be interested in those 305 Hoosiers... I am currently running the 285/30-18's front and rear, which is good for balance but I would like a bit more rear grip.
