there are no kits out there...you would be doing a total custom job with lots of parts needed

It can be done with the Vq. Its not really that much less space then with an sr20 swap. You will need to get some sort of aftermarket bumper though so you can get everything at the right angle and it will let you push everything forward some just so it isnt cramped.

There is more room up front then you think. If you made the front end out of tubular chromoly there is no reason that you could not make a v-mount setup capable of 600whp (based on intercooler size) within the confines of even the stock bumper. However, the cost of turbo piping is what would get you. The actual mounting bracket would not be hard to fab up at all.

i have actually been thinking about this, it would be simple, if you took out the whole cross support that holds the radiator and stuff, you could easily do it. i would just make a cross bar for some support to link the two front parts of the frame together.

now retaining the factory AC might be a little harder to do...

totally custom, it will necessitate a completely new front support. but the airflow should be MUCH better to both the intercooler and radiator alike. I'd recomend getting an underpanel made with vents in it to help pull the air through the lower part of the "V", and perhaps with the hood as well.
