I think its time to install a window A/C in the rear deck window, custom of course. Just forget trying to get the nissan system to work with the turbonetics.

i got the same problem. i was stuck without AC for 4 days in 100 degree weather. my turbo was to close to the AC lines and burnt it. i double wrapped it to. its in the shop now once again for the AC lines. my guy is just goin to reroute the AC lines. probably goin to route it away from the turbo. should do the same. hopefully this will work. good luck.

wow. this A/C problem really seems to be an issue.

I was reading the install manual, and they are so many parts of the A/C system that need to be "pushed" or "bent" out the way. That and the new A/C line that TN provides.

There just sems to be a plethora of places where the A/c system can be compromised. not to mention the huge turbo heat radiating in that area!!!

Now not everyone has had a problem, I do believe it has alot to do with whoever installs it and were they place the hoses (since you can bend them out of the way of direct heat).

Along with getting all the turbo exhaust pipes heat wrapped before installing them and a turbo heat blanket... Then you should be set

I was driving back from Orlando this weekend literally freezing in the car. I had to roll down the windows and spool up the turbo a few times to get comfortable again.

I would have done it myself if I had a suitable garage at the time (I do now), but I'm certainly glad I took it to Martin there as he did an excellent job.

My TN kit burned through myline too but concidering the shop that installed my kit blew my motor I don't really trust their skills. I looked at my lines too and they aren't wrapped at all. I don't know what I want to do with it right now. Reroute or just wrap the lines.

Instead of wrapping all the exhaust piping, why not ceramic coat them. Apparently it drops temps under the hood my approx 30%. It also looks nicer than wrap.

You can do that if you want to pay for it. I just coated my exhaust manifolds. The rest is wrapped.

I live in FL and use my AC 8 months out of the year and I have no issues after 17,000 mi with the TN kit installed. It blows as cold as the day I drove it off the lot.

See the thing is, not everyone will have this problem. Its just a computer. Some people hate microsoft because of all the bugs and viruses they experience. Others can go a lifetime witout experiecing a single issue.

Just because it doesnt happen to you, doesnt mean there is a problem. Id say that was the reason why it got past the test phase in the first place. Just like our engines, there are slight build inconsistanties every every component in the car.

nice rationale, but I 'm not buying into that theory.

I installed the kit by meself and I know cars well. When you know that there are potential problems, you worry! anytime, you have extreme temperaures next to things that don't like extreme temperatures, you have the potential for problems. I am not talking oven temps, I talking about 1300+ degree exhaust gas piping!!!

QuadCam: Im pretty sure we are on the same page

A kit made to be installed by any Joe Blow should be fool proof. If these fools cant get it right its a design issue. Weather of not TN addresses the issue is there call, but i dont think passing something this common off as user error is fair.

So if you shipped 100 kits and only 20 people had this issue 20% you'd say its not a user error? If its not a user error and the problem is the kit design then why are the other 80% of the people with kits not having issues?

they should recommend that all kits have the exhaust piping heat wrapped, or better yet they should have all the piping ceramic coated ...like that killer Swain Tech coating! of course, that would add several hundreds of dollars to the kit. It would be a better kit though.
