Default I understand the p300 codes the TN throws, but....

This morning, I was driving the car over to get the a/c repaired (another story alltogether), anyway, I had to merge into traffic, so since my car was recently tuned by Sharif (awesome tune), I punched it hard, the car didn't hesitant or anything, but the SES light which has stayed on since the tune, began to flash.

I know when you get these cars where they are running under 11:1 a/f ratio, the codes are more apt to come on, but I have never seen my SES light flash, then just stay on, should I be concerned at all? The car is otherwise perfect, boost is right on, egt is good, a/f's are about 10.6-10.8 under WOT.

Thanks in advance.

The turbonetics kit doesn't thow p300 codes. Other issues do.

I wouldn't say it's a perfect tune if you're running 10.6-10.8:1 AFR's at WOT? I'm wondering how you're running 400whp if so.

Perhaps you should check to see if you've fouled plugs.

The flashing of a ses light usually could mean cyclinder misfire.

302 means cylinder 2 misfiring, probably a bad coil.... throw another coil in and see what happens and make sure the plug is good...

FWIW I have never thrown a p0300 code with my TN set up. Maybe I got lucky.

I have gotten the P300 code. The definition is multiple cylinder misfire. Mine was being caused by my water/meth kit injecting too much water. I fixed the problem and replaced my plugs and have not had the problem since.

Man since having the TN kit, my SES light stays on Sometimes it goes away for a day or so, but then comes back... In all that time, only once did the SES actually blink on and off... I called MIAPLAYA exactly when it happened, he explained that it could have been misfiring in a specific cyl or mutliple cyl... I can't really remember what exactly he said, other than I should really be worried it it keeps happening, and it has never happened again since then so IDK.

Gonna have to get a code reader one of these days.

So I say Craig, if it continues then def. something that needs to be checked out ASAP. Though if is does not happen again, I wouldn't be to concerned.

I have a code reader and I have thrown a p306 in the past, went away. I checked the code again and it was a p304, not flashing, but now even after I clear it, it will come back on? Oh well, I don't believe I will worry about it unless it flashes again. I am supposed to go back to Forged on the 12th anyway, I will ask Sharif if he minds taking a look then.

P0300 - P0306 are caused by any of the following events:

Improper spark plug
Insufficient compression
Incorrect fuel pressure
The injector cicuit is open or shorted
Fuel injector
Intake air leak
The ignition signal circuit is open shorted
Lack of fuel
Signal plate
Air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor 1
Incorrect PCV hose connection

There are 7 pages in the FSM dedicated to troubleshooting this code. You need access to the Consult-II system. Good luck on that one

My best advice: Be sure you have a proper fuel system setup, your tune is perfect and your plugs are good.

Well that is quite a few things to sort through

Muhahahhahhaha, that is exactly what I think when the SES light goes away... I can't help but think I might have burned the light out, then strange as it sounds I feel better when it comes back on cause I know the light is working

If the CEL is flashing it indicates that a misfire is occuring at that time. You better reverify your AFr.
