Default TN kit cat Question?

I have the catted version of the the kit and am actualy on my second cat. The thing just always rattles. b Anyone else with the cat have this issue? I was wondering If i wanted to replace it with no cat what would you guys reccomend I do? Order the pipe from TN or just make my own at an exhaust shop or something?

Hmmm... Get a different after market hi-flow cat and modify the standered exhaust pipe... Good idea

I was going to order the Turbonetics Cat-Pipe, but I think I will find a aftermarket hi-flow universal cat and cut and weld it to the pipe I already have there.

Also can you take some pics of the set-up? What is rattling exactly? The whole section of that pipe or just the cat?

Cat's prob gone again lol.. you have a 12k warranty, just keep using it till you buy a different one lol..

The only thing is.. I think the cat helps the overboost problem since it kind of helps keep the back pressure there... someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Why do you even have a cat Roger? Run that puppy catless. You can always drop the cat in for inspection if thats the issue. Maybe TN will replace it with a catless straight pipe for you. Pucker up and make that call.

Please do call and have them send a new one. I will talk to Reggie this morning and let him know the cats are having issues. But he needs to log it to provide warranty feedback info.

I guess I didnt know what I was thinking. I recently just drilled/punched out the cat. Putting it on sometime this week, along with 550cc and a retune. Hopefully I dont overboost with no cat!??!? a little nervous about that

Well, do you have the new wastegate pipe? If you're really concerned about boost levels, go ahead and install it at the same time.

I'm runinng the 7lb spring in the gate, with a blitz boost controller. It holds boost pretty well in lower gears, but will creep slightly in 4th+ to about 9.5psi. I don't have the wastegate pipe in but will be installing it soon (after Z Fest).
