Exclamation Aquamist Water Injection: pics

I have been running water/methanol injection for the past few months, I decided to reroute my water injection setup, I snapped some pics and figured I'd share

it is important that the pump is physically lower than the water res., as gravity will work in your favor

I had to make some brackets to mount the pump in the appropriate location

the only place I could mount the tank was on the passenger side, so I drilled a hole in the radiator support and ran a hose down to the water tank, for filling...the hose is plugged

do not drink

my next little project for the night, install a second knock sensor to allow listening for auditory knock while tuning...

Todd your crazy! I'm still amazed on how much you've learned and takin into your own hands the tear down and construction of one of the baddest Z's in the country. Remember when we first met and you were waiting for the Greddy kit to arrive? Now your paving the way and showing some of these tuner shops how it should really be done. I applaude you. Also we are having a meet at Elliott's this Friday after work at 3 am for a meet. Last one had 20 cars show up and was amazing because cool weather and zero traffic. You should come out.

I just got back from a little data-logging/tuning while wearing headphones, listening for knock...

good news, no knock!!!

and I still have the adrenaline rushing through my system after the drive...I opened it up in 3rd gear and took it to 7000rpm, that was the first time, it pulls so damn hard!!!! I scared myself just accelerating in a straight line ...

I finally feel like I will never want this any faster, it scares me

Hey J, long time no see

Thanks for the words, when are we going to build up your car? We can do it in my garage, no problem!

I'll plan on going this Friday, the only issue is the police, if we are the only cars out, they love to pull me over...I got pulled over 2 days in a row a few weeks ago, first cop was cool, no ticket, second cop gave me a ticket for a loud exhaust (waste of time, already got it dismissed)

Give me a call, stop by my house so we can go for a ride, you'll be very scared

damn i totally forgot about you selling your greddy kit a while back, i just never saw what you put in its place. now that youve had both high hp kits, which do you like better with a built motor.

well, I like the design of the aps kit better, stainless pipes, 3 1/2 downpipe option, ball bearing turbos...I liked the idea behind the kit from the get-go....

The greddy kit makes tons of torque immediately, just like the aps...honestly, you can make the same power with either one, the aps just requires some additional headache getting around the internal wastegates= if you want to run more than 16psi, that is

looking good todd, Im confused though, since you put the tank almost at the same location where the windwasher tank usually goes but it's removed why not use the oem tank?
Also the aps usually has the powersteering cooler at that location where did you relocate that?

i didnt have the stock tank..and the stock tank fits behind the radiator support, ,mine is in front...
the power steering cooler is further toward the edge of the car, passenger side...by the tank...

i didn't think i had room to fit the oem tank in the stock location...so i went this route

just an fyi... if you're using the standard Aquamist pump, it's not going to like the meth... they're now offering a seal upgrade program that will make them hold up better with meth until their new pump is available...

Very nice setup.

I was under the impression that this specific pump was sealed for meth, thanks for the heads up, I'll double check
