Question In a Dilemma need some advice

Hi Guys,

I've been lurking on these boards for awhile and I need some sagely advice. Recently I had to replace some parts on my Vortech supercharger which required the shop I took it to to send the entire supercharger in to Vortech to warranty. Now here are some paths I can take at this point with which I need some advice:

1. should I convert the car back to stock and not have the shop install the Vortech unit when it gets it in and sell it to fund a built motor w/TT later on?

2. Just replace the supercharger and keep driving it like that?

Sellling the kit will net you little . I would put the blower back on and drive it . Building the block and a TT kit will cost you $12,000 to $15,000 including labor . You will have a decently fast car untill you have saved the money

That's no joke! I want to cry everytime I think about how much money I have put into my car. Just fix what you have unless you want to shell out some crazy cash

If you like your current setup, keep it at that.

Spending 15k+ for a built motor and TT kit, plus all the supporting accessories, like clutch, radiator, etc., is a downward spiral thats hard to come out of. Make sure you know all that your getting into before you sign your money away.

I agree, unless there is something that you don't like about the s/c, I'd keep it.

its more like $17,000 - $20,000 if you are including supporting mods like Injectors, UTEC, and so on
