Default New Stileen Supercharger opinions?

Has anyone seen the new Stileen supercharger for the Z? They say it will give +60hp and they are keeping at a safe psi level. 6 or 9psi I think. For $3+grand I don't know. I think it should put out more hp, not to mention it's a roots type blower which means you'll have it sticking out of your hood.

it has its own hood, or you can put a little cover on your own hood. it was sposed to put out 80 or 90 I thought, but not the point, itll likely be more like 4 or 5 grand I bet.

assuming 80hp and 4000$ thats 44$ a hp. pretty damn low. assuming 60hp and 3000$ thats still 50$ a hp, still very low.

anyway, just thought Id point out the obvious, the only thing thats a better bang for the buck is nitrous, which isnt nearly as good as a supercharger, nitrous might give you 60-80hp(if you have the ***** to shoot that much into your stock engine) for 1000$, but you only get it for about 8 second windows during a drag race.

Good points. I never looked at it that way. Not to mention that a SC is quite a bit safer than nitrous unless you know what your doing with it. Do you have any idea what the turbo kit will put out?

most likely similair gains, for about 5grand. not quite as good of value, but of course they offer more potential if you willing to go that route. upgrade some internals and the turbo and your doing great. sc is a bit limited by potential, you can get what they give you, then maybe swap out the pulley for a little extra, but with no intercooler(since its not centrifugal) it will reach a limit pretty quick.
