New #'s
749whp+n2o
648whp C16
new #'s @ 22psi, more boost didn't help the gains, I think that the 18g is max at 22psi
will post Dynojet charts soon.

What I find really amazing about this setup is:

1. No MID sleeves and your running 700+ whp without issues
2. You're one of a few out there that's mixing boost and n20 on a VQ despite several shops I've talked to saying it was a bad idea
3. You did this on a UTEC
4. You've taken the GReddy 18g to 22psi and found it's choke point

I like how some of the myths about our platforms are being shattered this year. Great work and congrats on the additional gains.

well that would depend on how much timing you are running now and how much nitrous you are planning on running, i know a lot of people who actually back down the boost levels and run a small (100 shot) shot on top of it the whole run and make more usable power due to the cooler intake charge.

im sure if you just ran your tuned pump gas map on C16 with 75 to 100 shot you will be fine. you will have a lot of room to play with the fuel change and i am sure your tune is setup pretty safe anyways

where are you time slips bert>????

Id want to run high boost + 100 shot on race gas, not a weak 15psi + 100 shot No drag racing for me until after the AKArally Im doing in July. Trying to keep the car in 1 piece for that event, then towards the end of this drag season I'll make it out to destroy tranny #4

nice numbers... shoudn't you be running a stand alone at those levels? power curve on the 21psi+n2o looks bumpy..

When I ran a 100 shot on top of 18psi in my built VQ35 I pulled 4 degrees and had no detectable knock. No idea what it was running, it wouldnt hook, FWD FTL. It trapped 130mph on boost with 50/50-93/C16. Ive run Juicy Boost on a stock VQ30 a lot and the built VQ35 some with no issues, its all about keeping the detonation under control, power is power.

749whp is sick, nice ride Carlito!

Thanks

Thanks, if you look at the new one the bumps were corrected and I don't think you need a stand alone for that, It drives perfectly and it has been with over 700whp since Aug06 with no problems, keep in mind the the street tune is @ 570whp only, jaja!!

Alberto, I don't tune my car, Miguel Alcrudo Jr from Auto Plaza Tuners(local Subaru dealer) does. He is the same guy that tunes the EDO Performance- Zero/Sport STI http://www.dragsport.com/issue/2007/...er_story.shtml and many other Subys here in PR.
I know that he keeps the A/F in the 10s for n2o and in the 11s for vp. He also pulls some timing for n2o but is not much, 2-3 degrees at the most.
My last dyno day took a lot more effort than the previous one because we went from 3" free flow exh to a 2.5 exhaust with resonators for noise comfort (its a G,not a race car)

Brian, It actually peak hp went down to 563whp because of the new more restrictive exhaust but we manage to gain some torque and hp along the curve. Anyway anything above 500hp is useless on street tires.
