Default Help With APS TT

Hi

I have a problem with my Z and would like to get some help off you guys.

Spec:- A stock 350Z with APS TT kit fitted an APS test pipes

Symptoms:-
Car Starts fine and idles at 850rpm
The vacuum is 20hg at idle and coming off load
Running 7psi boost.
A/F are fine at idle and under load

The car runs and goes like a dream

BUT

When you rev the engine over 3500rpm and let the accelerator pedal go (the car is stationery) the rpm dive down and the car stalls

When you are going along all is fine until you dip the clutch the rpm dive down and the car stalls. If you let the car cost in gear until you are under 3500rpm and then dip the clutch all is fine.

I have reset the ecu and I have performed a idle air learning procedure, cleaned the MAF.

Any help would me greatly appreciated as I am at a loss as to what it could be.

Many Thanks

Are you running the stock map? Mine ran fine on the stock map, but as soon as it was tuned, it started stalling like you're describing.

the cause MAYBE the throttle body closing shut when you take your foot off the gas. The engine is now starved for air. Some people(me included) have drilled a small into the throttle body plate, which allows air to get into the engine even with the plate closed all the way. This also helps with poor idle problems from larger injectors.

My car did this right after my motor build. I was running a half @ss tune while breaking the motor in. that paired with a lightened flywheel caused the car to stall at times (about 3-4 times in 600 miles). After the car was properly tuned, I haven't had any issue. I would get a proper load based tune and I would think it would resolve your issue

Needs better tuning. U can possibly hack around it by increase the idle speed.

Hi Thanks for the replies so fare.

Really don’t want to drill holes in the throttle body as this is an expensive bit off kit.
