Default no more backfires, weird??

my car used to backfire alot, i could usually get it to backfire on everyshift, if i got into boost a little and granny shifted, it would backfire pretty loud.

i noticed today that it didnt backfire at all, even when i tried. i havent driven the car since this past weekend when i changed the BOV and removed and reinstalled the exhaust to check the boost drop.

i doubt taking the exhaust off and on did anything, but what about the BOV? If i had a leak at the BOV would that cause a backfire, someone mentioned that since we run MAF, any air in the intake has been measured by the ECU, and causes it to dumps fuel, but if air leaks from the BOV, its causing me to run richer. something like that? or maybe lower EGTs arent igniting the fuel?

i watched my AFRs all day, and they are still real rich, less than 11 WOT. now i know a clogged up injector could be a cause, but how do i know? will one injector cause a drastic change in the AFRs?

Mine backfires like crazy, but I run relatively lean... I dont even put out black soot on my bumper even tho my tips are tucked, and no black soot at WOT near redline.
