few questions about the APS
ok sorry been sick all day...i have driven multiple cars with 600+ and yes my mother did love me...power is just addicting...hahaha just picked up my Z a year and 2 months ago...doing all the footwork as we speak...my buddy's dad has 2 Mk4's (beautiful cars) one is a low milage black tt and the other is a stripped track car. he is putting down around 700rwhp give or take and runs around our road course with the ferrari and exotics club. I am shooting for around 800 on top boost because i want a car i can drag also. i'd like to be able to also turn the boost down some so i can have the best of both worlds...track and drag...but yes, its my buddy's fault im so addicted...he had a 700rwhp vette he let me drive a long while ago when i graduated...his little present to me, and i've been craving it ever since...
other question...anyone know the spooling characteristics of the Extreme kit? just wondering because thats why i was aprehensive (sp?) about it...since i want the car primarily (sp?) as a track car.
(sorry about spelling...i feel like **** and im lazy right now)

p.s. I have a daily driver...i still have my first car! lol cant get rid of it 1990 Toyota Supra Turbo...thats my next project...
and yes i know that it takes more than just a TT kit...i've been planning this for 6-8 months, and it wont begin the process for another 6-8 and after that it will be a pretty long and extensive project...

I'm probably going to pick it up in the next few days to break in the block for a week or two and then bring it back, have them replace the springs, finish the tune and then install the dreaded roll bar which is turning out to be a nightmare in itself.
I miss my baby.....

holy hell, thats a costly mistake, arent they gonna have to pull a lot of crap just to change the springs?!
I drove a different buddy's vette at a drag day and did an 11.4...he usually does around an 11.2 ish...and i only drove it for the day before and on the way to the strip...so i was told i drove it really well for not owning a car to close to that.
i've been around fast cars my whole life...my dad always drove something, his second car was a 1969 Boss 429 Mustang (not street legal)...so he understands my cravings and we go have fun at the track every once in a while...i just want him to get a new toy

It was a tough summer...Missed every track day because my g-ma out in california had a stroke, so I was the one whom had to go out and take care of her because most of my family out there has tough jobs to work around and take care of her, so i was having track withdrawls...
but im just glad to be chillin' and back able to drive hard again

My situation is no comparison to your G-ma, but I also missed out every track day this summer-track withdrawl sucks, I need to get in a car and just kill it down the track/street whatever. Good luck on your build....

Man, you guys think its all about HP, 800rwhp on a 350Z?? everytime youd hammer it, youd go sideways, maybe even on 5th gear...at the track too. Look at Performance motorsports Z, that thing is always going sideways at the track.
The trick that needs to be solved is traction and im telling you, if people would try suspension set-ups, and a 2 step when launching with slicks at the track, 500+ WILL hit a high 10sec 1/4, if the damn Z had some different gearing and power to weight ratio, it pathetic having a 700+ Z and running 2.0 or higher on the 60ft. Im so sick of having to play catch up from a dig cuz i just spin
IMO we have been focusing on power too long, traction and suspension should be next....whats 800 if you only can get 380 down before breaking loose??
WE NEED 19IN DRAG RADIALS, AND LONGER GEARS

Well I don't have anyone I know in the suspension business really but the turbo business is another story.
19 inch dr's????? show me one professional drag race car running anything bigger than 15" you need more rubber for traction not bigger rims
One of the best investment I have ever made was the $75 GT Spec Lateral bar for the rear. I have not gone sideways since.
But definetely right we need way more advanced in regards to traction for the Z
