One of the best investment I have ever made was the $75 GT Spec Lateral bar for the rear. I have not gone sideways since.

But definetely right we need way more advanced in regards to traction for the Z
The real question is how much or what have people tried to do with whats out there now?

I would say for starters you look at what the pros are doing and try to get it implemented on the Z.

here are a few of my results:
15" ET Streets or Drags
GT Spec Lateral Bar
The Tein Flex made my handling better but the rear springs are too stiff so I got the 9 kg instead which are still stiff but you won't have to revalve the damperners
0 Camber ( I only went to -1.2 so far)
I also added the Racelogic Traction control which is awesome when running on street tires but also helps on slicks

tomcat-I dont see how a TCS could help you on slicks. No offense but I dont see you pulling 60ft's lower than any other Z on slicks so why do you bring it up so much? This is not intended as an insult, Id actually like to hear more about how it works out for you on the street!

see my note I said street tires.
I'm not running the RTC when running slicks.
It has helped though on DR's .
The main reason I got it was really for the street since the stock traction control sucks...If you're going into a curve fast you'll see how well it works. Very smooth no jerky engagement.
I also was able to do a 8.3 (1/8) mile on street tires running the RTC when every other turboed Z managed maybe a 8.6 at best without it on that track.
I bring it up a lot because I see it as a worthwhile investment for a daily driven monster.

Is it adjustable? Can it provide something like a launch control on the street? Stock VDC is over obtrusive we know this, can you dial that system in to the point where it will allow just enough wheel spin and not bog you like stock? Does it have a 2 step?

It is fully tuneable, you hook it up to a laptop, you can record your runs and tune accordingly, It's adjustable to Wet (same as stock vdc) and 25 dry settings, 25 being for racing on dr's or slicks.
It has launch control and full throttle shifting (adjustable limiter while holding down the clutch so that you don't overrevv), you can set it on the fly for different tire sizes and so forth.

feel free to PM me, i've been kinda absent from the forums but have spent a lot of time and money on my car so far. it's almost done, JE pistons Eagle rods, aps TT (full kit, but with a utec vs the uni-chip) + aam fuel + aps downpipes, quite a few little things here and there like injectors, oil cooler, gauges, blah blah blah, so i don't mind helping out if you want someone's real-world take on time/cost (so far almost 6mos + 21k but that included the roll cage and some other stuff).

Admitedly, this is speculation on my part. The Extreme Kit seems to flow about as much air as our upgraded Greddy TT kit with td06-60-1 setup. Our kit reaches 15psi at 4300rpm in 4th gear, so I imagine the extreme kit is on par, or better in terms of spool up.

Stock internals? How much whp you pushing? I heard that you should be concerned at anything over 400 whp on stock internal? How scared are you of your motor blowing?

Sifaka, could you measure the lip on your Gt-7's? Trying to gauge and visualize from your pics.
