The new Greddy gauges (v2) are black with red needle and red lighting, they might match.

I've ordered the DEFI Blue gauge and plan to modify it.

I'll post pics and info on the modification process when I get it.

I'll be waiting to see that write up.
I have a Defi D-gauge boost gauge, but i'd rather have the new blue racer modded with an amber led.

So did they discontinue the Defi-Link BF amber series? Because those have a stock look, and they come in amber....what's wrong with em?

Oooh okay, I have another question for you....will the 52mm gauge fit into the stock location? or is it only 60mm that fit there?

I've searched everywhere for the Defi D-Gauge boost and couldn't find them anywhere. I was afraid to go with the blue racer gauges since it might look weird. Nevertheless i got them thinking if i wish to change the LED in the future to amber i'll just do that. Anyways, got them installed and it doesn't look bad at all. I think it goes nicely with my silver aem gauge. Well, some people might think otherwise but it's not too bad. Here's some pics~

ignore the dirty window~~hehe

the new blue racer are alot more expensive than the D-gauge thy are replacing.

BTW, if anyone is looking for a digital gauge to match the factory amber, check out Cyberdyne. They have amber gauges that are a perfect match!!! The amber gauges are just not well publicized.

I picked up a cyberdyne digital amber fuel pressure gauge W/ Hi-Lo memory recall and w/ an adjustable low pressure warning for around $90!!! That is outrageously cheap!!!

I just got my blue racer gauge and installed it tonight.

I wanted to install it and make sure it works OK before modding it.

As MrFurioso syas, it looks good as is, and I think if I could reasonably change all the other gauges to blue I would. Since that's not practical I'm going try turning it amber tomorrow.

If I open it and find it cannot be easily modded though it will not be the end of the world.

I got my Defi-D gauges from honda tech for 100 bucks shipped to my door boost and oil psi which i had changed to a feul pressure. if you look around the evo sites and the honda sites im sure you can find them. and if not just go with the greddy gauges that are amber and red.

Well I opened it up, it a little tricky to get into the front part with the class is bent of the lip of the can so you have to pry it back.

Once I got in I found the are about 8 or 9 surface mount LED's in there, each one about 3mm x 2mm. It's not something you can pick up at radio shack, which I was afraid of.

I'm going to take it to work tomorrow to see if we happen to have and surface mount amber LED's there that will fit (I doubt it though I don't recall any amber LEDs on any of the stuff we make). If not I should be able to get a digital engineer to at least identify a replacement part for me.

I'll let you know what I find out.

Did you guys see my other post? I'm pretty sure that Defi will be releasing these in differnt backlighting soon. I would confirm with a defi retailer before you go through all the trouble....
