speed holes, ftw!
people need to realize that all new turbos have -some- shaft play. i don't think i've ever seen a turbo that has a ZERO play. of course, anything excessive is not normal but when you have a brand new turbo that you just took it out of the box, there's going to be a very minor shaft play... as in "it" will move a little bit
once the oil flows through it gets stablized.
what do most people do to check for a shaft play? they grab the nut() on the quill of the compressor wheel with an index finger and thumb and start moving it up and down. to truly check for a shaft play, you need to grab both nuts and shake it. shake it fast! show me what you're werkin' with!
lol sorry, got a little carried away.

Mia, what is the garentee that this new series will hold high hp and trq numbers through the powerband? Man i am still considering keeping the kit but i really need to know weather thae kit will make the desired power all the way through red-line.

if you think the turbo is the culprit of your powerband falling off, you've got to learn a few things.
The turbo can only flow as much through the engine as the cams will allow.

I don't have a gurantee to give you until Turbonetics is done with their R&D. That is of course what they are shooting for but as I said before they havent finished their R&D yet. Thats why I've been telling people to wait for its release as those who do will benefit from things like that.

I wouldn't base what the TN kit can do off the Modified car. While it makes good power, there are definitely some issues, which is why it makes so much more torque than horsepower.
and cams DO make a big difference.
