oooohhhh black chrome...purdy

those drilled holes, they look like they're drilled at an angle, to aim the incoming air more directly at the blades on the exducer (I think it's called) in order to help quicker spool, less turbulence on the blades?

Those holes are anti-surge porting. I like the black finish on the housing, that's nice.

Correct those are drilled to help prevent surging. And on the compressor side its the inducer

Compressor wheel has both an inducer and exducer, they are just different parts of it.

exactly, the exducer is that portion closest to the backplate, kinda hard to describe without a picture, but it's the part of the blades with the most angle of attack, right where the air exits the blades.

I hope the quality control goes up. I have seen to many "new" turbonetics turbos that have lots of play in the shaft.

inducer sucks air IN, exducer pushes air OUT.

looks awesome. looks like they have incorporated the scroll into the inlet, cutting down on space maybe, the filter goes over all that?

Big shaft.. ported shroud.. looks nice. I might have to actually break my Garrett GT tradition, and try one of these out.

LOL Glad you all like. Turbonetics was very excited to share this pic and there should be tons more info at the SEMA show for you all. There will be an entire line of these turbos of course ranging from the smaller GT28 size up to T72 and possibly bigger. And yes Stage 2 is looking like its going to get one
