Default low compression engine question

what is your vaccuum at idle?

I just noticed its stays around negative 9-10.

It used to be about 15- 19.

I hope this is normal

Ive got nismo cams and 8.5 to 1 pistons and vacuum at idle is 10 to 11 . But I think it has more to do with the cams than the compression . Not sure

mine is at 11-12 at idle...double check all the vacuum lines...this could be normal/is your gauge dead on when the car is off? (at 0)
what boost are you running? is it tuned yet?

Are we talking PSI or mmHG.

I usuallyi see between -7 and -10 psi....depending on the cams and compression ratio. Lower CR engines, or higher lift/duration cams will result in slightly less vaccum.

When ur Cammed out u generally have a drop in vacuum due to overlap, But I dont know that the after Market Z cams are that radical. Chk for vacuum leaks. Chk with MIA ------ U were too quick for me !!!!
