Any particular reason why you chose Greddy over APS or JWT?

The Greddy IMO is the best tuner TT kit. I hate the JWT FMIC, and the standard snails are small, so to hit this power it would have taken an upgrade, so more $$$. The APS is a great kit, but for higher boost I dont like the idea of dealing with the actuators/internal waste gates. The Greddy was the best because I already had a fuel system, fuel pump, and UTEC, and the standard snails can keep me happy. And it's cheaper than both APS and JWT kits...

Unfortunately for me my tranny now is doing this on/off 5th gear grind at anything faster than a granny shift. I'm gonna enjoy the car for a while before running it, because I am aware that when I do go to the track that could be a busted axle or tranny and that means more down time and no more car again...ughh(does it ever stop?). When this tranny does go (this is my 3rd) I already have another one lined up, and I'll be doing a nice GTM gearset Im keeping my fingers crossed I dont break something at the track though, no worries guys I'll get there, Im still soaking in all the power

After i got my car out of the shop, i had the same problem. I couldnt get into 5th unless i gently pushed it in. Even shifting into 5th at daily driving speeds would grind it half the time. Im mentioning this because i also have the ATS clutch and dont know if it has something to do with it or not. Ive been at the dealership and they just love to tinker with the car. I think they played with the clutch position and/or something else and now it will get into 5th a bit easier, but at the same time i cant get into 6th as fast any more.

This tranny has been doing this for over 10K miles, way before the TN kit even. Nissan synchro's suck, my next tranny will be a beast...

Alberto, sorry if I missed this in the thread but did you go with AAM 3" downpipes w/open dumps? You indicated Forged Performance in your original post and thought (hope) Sharif has his own solution now.

Thanks,
Ron

Brian-GTM is working on a gearset that should let us high hp Z's run through the traps in 4th, with a long C6Z06 like 1st gear and new gearing. I'll let Sam elaborate on this if/when he sees this

Ron-I am running the first set of Forged Performance 3" Downpipes w/dumps, not the AAM units...

Sort of curious what kind of fluid you're using in your tranny...?
