I picked up my car today after VRT had it for a week installing a vortech kit, sno engineering water injection, and a bunch of other stuff. It goes in for tuning on Monday, so I get to drive it carefully for the weekend as a shake down to be sure everything is performing properly before the dyno runs.
So far its really frustrating having to keep the revs down. I'm just too paranoid about flogging it before its tuned. I really love the sounds this thing makes. It has been turning heads just crusing down the road, I even had a dude in a hemi truck ask if I wanted to run! Pretty funny, but once I am tuned I am sure I could keep up .
Monday they install the oil cooler, finish the guages, and tune the motor. I can't wait to see what numbers I get out of it.
It will be hard to get pics because we used the windshield washer tank as the supply for the injection system. Since you have to mount the pump lower than the tank, the only place to put it is in the facisa in front of the pass wheel. Since the fasica is back on, its probably not easily seen. There will be a hose into the intake somewhere, but thats not really picture worthy. Once I get the final numbers after tuning, I will be posting them with a few pics. Its getting tuned tomorrow, but I have to go to the east coast for a family emergency, so won't be posting anything till I get back, probably in a week or so.
