Default Gear based boost control

I installed an Apexi avc-r yesterday , and I´m very happy......the most amazing part is ,how hard the car pulls in 3rd gear.
I´m using the aps solenoid with the avc-r.....who did mention that the aps solenoid was not able to control boost without the unichip........
This are my previous and post boost pressures.

APS solenoid _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Aps solenoid _ _ _ _ _ _ duty cycle
controlled by unichip _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ controlled by AVC-R

1st gear------6.5 psi --------------- 1st gear-----6 psi----------0%
2nd gear------7.5 psi -------------- 2nd gear----8 psi----------60%
3rd gear-------8.5 psi -------------- 3rd gear----10.5 psi--------80%
4th gear-------10 psi --------------- 4th gear----10.5 psi-------76%
5th gear-------11 psi --------------- 5th gear----10.5 psi-------72%
6th gear-------11.5 psi ------------- 6th gear-----11 psi--------72%

How long did it take you to program the gear based boost and was it difficult? I have the same boost controller I haven't played around with it yet.

It´s easy....... first you need to program the gear judge ( check the manual ), Off course you need to have connected the speed wire to the AVC-R............
After that ,you only need to check your boost gauge in every gear, and play with the duty cycle, I take like 5 pulls to get the final boost.

i am jealous! My Z is not equipt with gear based boost control. I have been meaning to add a solenoid to put on a speed switch tho... it was going to be my ghetto home made boost control... basically i plan to use a vacuum solenoid to bypass my HKS EVC Boost controller until 60mph, then it will shut and the boost controller will be back in control. This would put me at wastegate spring level boost until 60.

Anyhow, nice work. I bet it makes the car MUCH more driveable. I bet I am not the only one that is tired of having to turn the boost DOWN when I catch a stoplight with a cobra or EVO or something.
