JWT S1 cams for turbo

LOL. Sharif seems to be putting out some monster out of his shop, nice!
I would go with the S2/C2 since they seem to be turbo specific. You dont want a cam with too much overlap because it wont build boost as fast as a turbo cam with less overlap.
If you can wait GT Motorsports is comming out with their own set of Turbo SPECIFIC cams that will have very promising gains. Should be out soon. PM me for more info.

I love the sound of the exhaust at idle-just enough of a hint that something is up...fwiw I make 10lbs of boost at only 3300rpm's, Id say they are working fine, may not be 100% ideal for turbo specific apps, but certainly a great option.

I am using the S2 on my motor and it is a beast. Love that cam. Does not sound like stock though. Sounds more like Jesse Ventura announcing it is "payback time" in the movie Predator.

The Tomei 268 idles much worse than the S1, and the engine seems a lot smoother with the S1. Power differences were negligable.

S2's are a slightly milder version of the S1 mainly to provide better idle quality, power differences are negligible.
JWT's C series cams always require the valve springs, they're generally a lot more aggressive and will provide insane high end power with great gains in the midrange. Will likely require an idle bump and have a bit of a lope to them....maybe not much.
I'm interested to hear Sharif install the C2's in a car sometime and see how he likes 'em

between what, S1s and C2s? well, with the 1k idle it shouldn't be too bad, however the C2s require valvesprings as they're quite a bit more aggressive. They tend to move the powerband up as well as extend it due to the more aggressive lift and duration. You're going to have a lopey idle, but it's not going to stall if you have a 1k idle. And when I say lopey, i'm not talking big V8 lope, but a mild lope that is slightly noticeable, but the cams SCREAM up top.
I think you'll find JWT's cams are the best on the market in terms of specific research done to the cam design for the specific motor. The main guys at JWT, Clark and Jim, know more about cam design and response than many of the companies that actually build cams for the VQ right now.
