That's enough for gauges. I am going that route and I would not bother with the bolt ons which will offset the tune.

Im planning on buying an FI in the future yah, my question is what engine mods can I do to help build the engine up so its ready for FI, or should I just save up for a turbo system itself?

Oh you mean like building the engine so when you finally go FI theres one less thing to do. I don't know but post this in the FI forum and I'm sure someone can help you out

take that 1200 and invest it in some stocks, wait a few months and you should have a lot more to spend.

If you have decided on a kit, then build around it... that money for example can go into an exhaust system, maybe the APS plenum if you are thinking APS, etc..etc.. Botom line, chose mods that can work NA and more importantly, ones you dont have to ditch when you go FI.

just keep saving up and buy everything at once. the more time that goes by the better the mods that are available. don't start buying the little things now cause in 6 months there might be better little things that you wished you would have waited for.

1) If you know what EMS system you're going to use, go ahead and get it and familiarize yourself with it.

2) Get your AFR gauge

3) Supporting mods that can benefit you in the interim will be nice too. If you plan on replacing the stock radiator, hoses, or whatever you can do in the meantime. It's unlikely that anything sigficantly better than what is already available will come out so soon.

Yea get a good idea of which TT setup you're going to get and like others have said get things that you know you'll need to get. Certain things which I'm sure others can guide you towards will have to be upgraded no matter which set up you go with so you could start work on those now

Also depends on your time frame of going FI

well what if he totals he car next month or if he loses his job and the car gets repo'd a few month down the road? what good will all those parts do? why buy chit you can't install on your car or that can be installed, but don't really change the performance or look of the car? better just to buy all the chit at once and have it installed at the same time.

Well if you look at it that way why ever mod anything. I mean hell cows might start falling from the sky and smash his TT setup right after he gets it.

It makes sense if you know you are going to go FI but you don't have the money up front to start getting things lined up so when you finally have money for the kit you have a few less things to deal with like building the motor.

Either way if he totals his car, loses his job, turns gay, or gets eaten by a cow he's ****ed.

yeah, but he would still have $1200 in his bank account and not a bunch of useless mods sitting in his garage.

Yea but assuming nothing catastrophic happens he will one have monetary motivation to keep saving because he will have started a project and would stand to lose money if he stopped. Second he could start a relationship with a shop so he can try and start off small and see how he likes it or if he can do it himself. Third its my opinion lol.

I definately understand where you're coming from though. I just think of it like I do with mine. There are 10k worth of mods I want to do at one time to my car but its not feasible so I do it 500-1k at a time and in the end even if I don't accomplish the 10k I'll have enjoyed modding my car and the pride of making it different.
