Sorry to hear of that, how did the tune get so whack? I would have loved to know how much power you made to trap 134mph, for my sake Id love to think it was with around 600whp, as Im right there with you @ 15psi Good luck on getting back to where it was, still 570whp is no slouch....

You're a stand up guy for sharing the numbers with the community. Major props to ya. Still impressive numbers and with an FCON on that beast it would be scary. Good luck!

I am still laugh at the **** reduction comment.

But back on topic. I am glad you found the best shop in northern cal. Rob is great, and I am sure you car will turn out nicely.

At the power levels you are searching for, I would strongly consider the FCON, or a UTEC at the bare minimum...but something other than the basic Unichip.

How do you know that with a leaner tune, and adding in the 5 lbs of lost boost, that you wouldn't be in the mid to high 600's? Not really defending SP, but come on, you're down 5psi and WAY the hell rich, and you STILL made 570whp? That's not too shabby at all.

Actually, SP also owns that track you went to...they have been know to inflate their trap speeds as well.

Just kidding.

Judging by what other high power Z's are doing-for you to trap 134mph, you def had another 50whp easy...

Hey Bri,
Rob didn't make you drive the Miata home, did he? I was curious what kind of power your car would make on Robs dyno and now we know.
I think Rob tuned mine really conservatively since I live so far away and I still ended up with 562whp at 17psi. I don't feel like such a slacker now

Glad you got your drivability issues worked out and that you're going to keep the car and continue modding it. I need to come down in the next couple of weeks to get my BBK installed, so maybe I'll get to see it in person.

Let me know I'll come down there to get it tuned more.... Yea I took the miata...Also he dynoed my car on the inerita based mode and not load based so maybe that was the reason I was boosting 18lbs and not 23lbs??

Bri-
I can't figure out what it takes to make 23 pounds of boost. I switched from the stock APS wastegate actuators to heavier Garrett actuators and finally to the fancy, billet Forge actuators. Rob added an electronic boost controller and I still topped-out at 17. I want to see the new APS extreme kit and get a look at those external wastegates. Can't wait until SEMA.......

RedLeader - What Boost controller are you using?

bigbri - I didn't catch if you are running the standard APS kit or the Extreme kit.
