Default Went to Z car and found out the truth......

We'll as we all know I've had all my Z work done at SP and am very happy with my car..But as everyone knows Sp's dyno reads high and I had no clue on my dyno numbers I was told "low 700 high 600 WHEEL HP" I tursted the person that built my car and was happy the way it ran..Well a coulple of weeks ago my car felt differrent and my car was running different...Like the tune changed on me...Then I couldn't rev the motor past 3500rpms due to limp mode because my flywheel was coming apart and setting off a check enging code of crank angle sensor...So I took my car to z car to get the clutch and flywheel changed so I could drive my car normal again and decided to see "the real #'s" I know my car is fast and never thought it had 700whp but guesstamated low 600whp....The highest I trapped was 134mph on a cold night boosting 23lbs witch is a good indication of low to mid 600whp..Well it was a warm day and we dynoed my car...Ready for the numbers???...........570whp and 540wtq In my cars defense it was hot, my a/f is FUKING rich 10.1 to 8.1 and the car was only boosting 18lbs boost as opposed to the 23lbs it boosts on the street.......Anyways I just wanted you all to know..Also ZCAR GARAGE is the BEST shop I've ever been to Rob is a cool *** guy and the Guys working on the cars are baddass and know there ****...The first time I every met Rob he gives me one of his own personal cars for a "loaner" car to drive back up to sac while my car was being worked on. I wish I would of gone there from the start....So anyone with Z needs around NOR CAL go to Z car garage.....I have some plans for my z and have about 100+ more wheel hp coming soon....

with all the dyno queens out there, its nice to know someone who is honest and isnt full of bs. thanks for the info brian. your numbers are still sick, and 600+ whp doesnt seem unrealistic with your full boost and better conditions.

Although its not the 700 whp beast, its still fast. Good to hear that you are not selling the Z and looking forward to see your mods in the future.

well if you boosted at your regular rate of 23lb you will be in the low 600hp. Still, you got shafted. We all live and learn. I had my experiences with ted as you know but what you can you say, some days the hobby gets you and some days you get the hobby.

At your power level I would strongly recommend a standalone like the HKS FCon VPRO if your budget allows it. You would be suprised how much better your car will run. HUGE diffrence and MUCH safer. Im assuming thats why its so rich, to give you a larger safety margin, still too rich though.

Good luck!
