And now the band clamps dont like to seal as well. It's already a really tight fit in there.

Oh, and becuase the flex joint was also coatied...that thing doesnt flex much at all...making it even more challenging to get everything lined up properly.

I dont recommend this stuff at all on the TN kit. on the other kits, there isnt as much piping to coat..just the manifolds, exhuast housing, and downpipe....no issues with this.
I know what you are saying about the mating surfaces. On my buddy's MSP, we had to get the both mating surfaces of the manifold machined flat because of the coating.

Overall, I don't think coating is worth the hassle, let alone the money.

I wrapped ALL the hot pipes on my kit. I used the copper header wrap. gegt about 100' of the 2" stuff. you'll also need a small roll of the 1" stuff. also, hose clamps work great to finish the ends of the wrap. I didn't like the "snap straps" that are made for these wraps.

Jet, my gasket technique for the V-band clamps should work for your coated pipes, too. The hard part will be finding gaskets small enough for the 2" pipes. the 2.5 downpipes are easy to get gaskets for.
