I ran a search and wasn't able to find if this had been covered yet. I've noticed most 500+whp builds utilize the stock throttle body. I'm sure there's been consideration to upgrade but I haven't found anything here discussing it.
IIRC the stock TB is something like 70mm or so? I searched on that and wasn't successful (stick a fork in it and just show me the thread in case it was that obvious and I missed it, lol).
Anyways, in the idea of opening up all possible restrictions, I think a TB upgrade would be tantamount to this if the entire plenup is polished and extreme headwork is done.
Opinions? Information?
Thanks

There are a few TB options but none I really like. They are large at opening and taper down to stock by the time it bolts to the upper plenum, not a straight through overbore like most other applications. Also, because these TB's can be finicky with their mechanisms failing (earlier Z's) not many want to swap or spend $$$ and do it and have the TB fail shortly after.

good to hear about crawford.
I mean obviously the only reason there aren't people running bigger ones is the DBW issue. I know that it's extremely touchy and a real PITA to deal with..........
the Q45 might be do-able if the DBW control is compatible and the tps can be reset.
