Default 3 weeks later FINALLY back on the road!!!!

$1100 dollars.....after spending quite a bit a few months ago and reporting to the shop that I was having these problems....my car is finally running and not stalling....

Vaccum lines pinched and improperly hooked-up, busted BOV, a Split Second Box that "I have no idea what the f$#k the last guy did" as per Jim Wolf, an unproperly torqued turbo manifold, a leaky exhaust and best of all....a plenum spacer that was ever-so-slightly warped had to be replaced. All of these we're the problems causing me to seriously want to light my car on fire!!!! (I forgot a few things in there)

No raising idle as the installing shop said I had to do....that would not have fixed anything...nor was it possible because my ecu cannot be read by a CONSULT after having it worked on.

When I got call of what was done I almost died thinking it was going to be WAY more.....big thanks to Vinny Ten, Mark @ SGP and Jim Wolf for getting me as many parts comped as possible and helping me get back on the road for what was a very fair price(even did new rotors and pads for me while my car was there). Happy to report that all is well and she runs like she's supposed to....no stalling, no rough idling, no backfiring....

I was complaining about this problem to the original shop for MONTHS and they did nothing.....oh well...at least i'm back and having fun again....Once again Thanks to Vinny Ten, Mark @ SGP and Jim Wolf....u have all earned a customer for life!!!!

I am really glad you didnt sell this kit. It's arguably the BEST kit for a stock block setup. Glad you got your issues sorted out.

Sucks to hear about your problems ... if you pay good money the shop should stand behind their work

best of luck with the new and improved setup.

read between the lines buddy
I can read b/w the lines, and figure out that the shop he is refering to is AAM (yea i said it!). Buts perhaps people that don't come on these boards that often or know the history of everyone's car might not figure it out that quickly or might not have even heard of the shop.

All I'm saying is that this forum is to help fellow Z owners, not to protect the shops that are screwing us over. God forbid someone berates one of the sponsors of this site, but simply sharing a true story can help other members from going through the same problems. These shops survive because of their customers. If customers aren't satisfied with thier work, they SHOULD lose buisness, and hence have to improve thier customer service, which will benefit us all.

Do you have any new dynos numbers? It's probably making a tad more power once you plugged all the holes.
