Is your car a Dyno Queen??

where I live it's like $8 a run at the drag strip and you gotta wear a helmet and do inspection and all that crap and the track is only open so many days a week and only at certain times. It's way too easy to drop $50 just to do like 5 passes down the strip after waiting in line etc. Hell even a $120 speeding ticket is probably worth getting every now and then instead of spending $50 every week
i just see it as a pain in the butt vs going to some deserted areas of town and having some fun
as far as road courses, I've decided this car is too expensive to have to pay your entry fee which is like $150 usually for five 20 minute sessions, then you go thru tires, brake pads, rotors, engine oil, brake fluid and that crap adds up. I can't stand waking up at 6-7am to get there by 8am. Not to mention if you had some sort of accident that was yours or someone else's fault. Then autocrossing you'll spend 4 hours working the track so you can get 5-7 1 minute runs in... it's time well spent, but I'd rather be driving
At this point I'm just going to stick with street driving and doing kart racing. Maybe if I had a small dedicated 1 seater racecar where tires and pads were dirt cheap I'd go more often
what I wish someone would do is open up a "drift pen" sorta thing - just an area where you pay a few bucks and you get to spend like 5 minutes and go nuts driving around doing whatever the hell you want around some cones or something on a big slab of concrete - and be perfectly legal. Better use of time than 11-14 sec down the 1/4 mile and better than the 1 minute autoxing. And won't cost a bunch of money and shoot your whole day like a full road course does

Dyno numbers???
cant dyno numbers be manuipulated to say whatever you (or the guy doing the dyno) wants them to say? how accurate are they really?
there have been guys on here that have claimed X amount of power then they came back said it was less, or their car was fetured in a magazine with an independent dyno and the numbers were a lot less.

Neither. I've never been to a real track and my car only gets on the dyno for tuning. If you're going to tell me that I wasted $40K on my car cause I don't take it to the track I'll tell you to *** off. It's my money and I'll do what I want with it. I track my car everytime I get in it even though I never stepped foot on a track if you know what I mean. Just cause I don't have a clock timing me doesn't mean I am not putting my car to use. I didn't spend all that money to drive like grandma.

Not bad for a bad night at the track. You guys around ~500whp at 13-14psi?

and, track or no track, you can run 11s all day, but the street is totally different. i see it all the time, people talk crap about what they run at the track, then they come out to the street races and get their *** handed to them by slower cars. my car hooks better on the street than on any tracks around here.
so your question should be, "is your car a dyno queen, track queen, or street queen?"
sentry, damn thats $$$, here its 10 bucks to get in, and you can make as many passes as you want.

well we all know it's all about having THE fastest car to ever drive a public street. It doesn't matter if you never find other 600+whp cars to race on the street. If they're out there, you can do nothing except to live in FEAR that you might fine a chance encounter with one
if your car ain't got 800+whp, then it's a slow POS and you don't deserve to enjoy it.
big hp is so damn noisy, it's a cop magnet. If you get caught "street racing" even if it's against no one, you lose your license and possibly car.
if you're messing around with taking corners fast, tire screaching is fairly quiet by comparison. Maybe a cop might give you a 5 pt reckless driving ticket
