Trans install
Yes I know this is the FI section. But I also know the FI guys know whats going on when it comes to pulling a trans. Ive pulled my motor in both cars. But when I did it I pulled the trans and motor. this time when I install my rebuilt trans I want to just drop the tranny without touching the motor. Any of you just dropped the tranny or pulled the motor wothout the trans? If so any tips? I know those top bolts that hold the trans in must be a biatch to get to!
actually steve this is about one of the easiest trannies to drop i have done. plenty of room to get to all the bolts, just need to remove your intake tube. remember tilting the trans bachwards will dump fluid everywhere, so drain it first or have a container ready.

+1 on the drain just in case..
and carbon will go everywhere from inside the bell housing so put something down on the ground.. I think I had what seemed like a cup full when I cleaned that crap out..
