300zxTT vs 350zTT
i know this is old.
but no one talk about a 300zxTT with a built engine and big turbos
VS
a 350zTT with a built engine and a big turbos like APS kit or speedforce,
ultimate racing twins or greddy TD05.
what i know allso that 350z makes big power with les boost. so what do u think guys,
can we say that VQ35 can put out a better power output then a 300zxTT ?
again, im talking about moded vs moded
thanks

but dont't forget gus that 350z makes near 600whp with just 15psi with after markt turbos, 300zx makes 600whp with 19-23 psi on after markets
turbos
that means vq35 makes more power in any rpm

video of my buddies built 300tt. 600hp if I remember. Its fast but the traction kills it like it does with the 350z;..

i didnt see 300zx doing 6.63 sec in 1/4 mile
allso i didnt see a 300zxtt putting 500whp with just 12 psi at 4500RPM like a 350z.
u guys who says that 300zxtt are faster. why ? what is ur 1/4 mile numbers and what boost? what whp ???
allso the weight of a 300zxTT is 3525lbs. and thats more than the 350z.
i dunno how can u guys say that 300zx are faster !!!

still i didnt see a 300zxTT doing 1/4 mile like a 350z with abuilt engine and a big turbos.
i read befor that jim wolf says that the 350z has a better power output.
thats JWT so that means 350z with turbos are faster.
n e way the point of all this, is that ill race a 300zx with a TD06 20G
and ill post the vid for u guys very soon
we both have built engines, and both have big turbos.
im running the ultimate-racing turbo kit T3/T4 ballbaring turbos stage 3
its going to be from a roll 40mph.
wish for me good luck

Go on a 300ZX website and ask the same questions and you will get ***** slapped by how many high horsepower Z32's there are. and how fast they are, if you are looking for a 300ZX on built motor it will be a serious one as they can go close to 600RWHP on stock internals, I know personally of one at 554RWHP on stock internals and 22 psi and it is a beast.

I had a Z32 that made 410 rwhp on stock turbos and stock injectors. That should give you an idea of the potential of the Z. However, overall the 350Z/G35 is a better car than the Z32 was. Better handling, better brakes, better creature comforts, and really, a solid, higher potential engine.

which is better you say? The answer is whoever has the deeper pocket. Obviously the z32 is cheaper to mod because the engine comes forged and built for turbos. But after xxx amount of horsepower all deals are off. Same goes for the 350z. Stock vs stock motor and not mod it i will take a z33 motor. More torque for daily driving.
Lets put it this way, both are great motors. VG = past and the VQ = future. Both can be single or twin turbo. vq= 3.5l and vg = 3.0l. Obviously the vq has the upper hand sorta speak due to displacement but to say its superior the the vg we can't say. Only time can tell however it does look more and more promising by the months as more people are will to invest and venture out to achieve higher numbers. I also wanted to note that the 350z JGTC car has a vg motor. Why didn't they do a vq? Because I think nissan themselves were not sure how reliable the vq was as far as high power longitivy. Or is it because they are limited to only 3.0l?

The twin-turbo VQ30DETT is an engine used in Nissan's race cars, primarily in the Super GT (formerly the JGTC). First used on the Skyline GT-R race cars during the 2003 season, this engine currently powers the Fairlady Z race cars - homologation rules allow them to use the VQ30DETT in lieu of the stock VQ35DE. Race output of this engine is estimated at around 480 ps or approximately 473 hp (353 kW). A road legal version of VQ30DETT is one of the engines rumored to power the 2007 Nissan GT-R.
The VQ30DETT is used in:
* 2003 Skyline GT-R JGTC race cars
* 2004 Fairlady Z JGTC race cars
* 2005 Fairlady Z Super GT race cars
* 2006 Fairlady Z Super GT race cars

Well their are 100% stock internal Z32s making over 650RWHP. With built enignes the VG has shown capable of near 1500HP. There were low 7 second drag Zs before the 350Z was ever even released. This paticular VG dyno'd at 1345RWHP with twin T72 turbos:
A twinturbo.net member is currently building his drag Z32 with a similar setup though with bigger T78 turbos and shooting for 1400+RWHP and 6 second 1/4 miles.

Can't really compared a lower compression 3.0 factory turbo motor vs a high compression factory NA 3.5 motor. Of course the VQ will make more power at lower boost.
