Could it be the VDC doing something strange? Doesn't VDC cut throttle when it thinks you're slipping or out of control? I'd try unplugging that module from underneath the dash by the steering column and see what happens. Couldn't hurt...
Good thinking. However, the VDC is non-functional without a speed signal input (car is stationary).
Do they have another TB in the shop they can swap it with?
